"On our last day in Oberau we ventured up to this place, used to be easily accessible when the old T-bar lift was working, now it is quite a steep walk. The outside of the building does not convey the charm of the interior. Well worth the walk, but beware if the flag is not flying it may not be open."

"Wir haben hier ein paar Tage mit Freunden verbracht. Mit den Zimmern waren wir durchaus zufrieden. Unseres hatte ein großes Bad. Im Zimmer selbst befand sich außer einem Sofa auch ein großer Fernseher. Ob das Bild gut ist kann ich nicht sagen wir hatten Ihn kein einziges mal an. Das Frühstück war absolut ok. Brötchen Wurst und Käse, divefse Marmeladen und Butter wurden auf dem Tisch für uns angerichtet. Kaffee uns Saft gab es satt. Allerdings haben wir noch nirgends so gutes frisch gemachtes Rührei mt Schinken bezw. Spiegelei mit Speck bekommen. Auch die Kuchen Nachmittags sind sehr empfehlenswert. Die Küche ist sehr gut. Es ging schnell und alkes hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Ein wirklich guter Gasthof. Zudem gibt es einen abschließbaren Schuppen für Räder. Wir werden bestimmt mal wieder kommen."

"This is without a doubt a really traditional restaurant with delicious food. Lovely staff and beautiful surroundings. Deserves a 5 star. However they allow dogs and there was a huge dog next to our table. I am not a dog person and felt quite uncomfortable with it next to us - therefore the 4 stars."

"We went here to eat mainly because of the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was characterized by a more than poor service (in terms of time and the side dishes are, in my opinion, very high in price (8 wedge slices, in words eight for more than 4 euros is steep or were the slices previously in one Ardbeg inserted 8 . 18:02 Arrival with existing reservation 18:15 drink order 18:35 Drinks! 18:50 Food order placed 19:15 Salad, goat cheese and edamame 19:50 (almost two hours after arrival main course, fortunately there was salad and the above mentioned accessories more than half an hour before We didn't have a dessert for reasons of time, even big children have to go to bed early ; Other guests (senior citizens and a family table with 6 people commented accordingly, with whom we also spoke about the service. It's a shame, I think, because this restaurant has an incredible amount of potential, both for the eye (the whiskey collection and for the palate (the quality of the food is absolutely top class! Therefore only 3 stars in total."
