"Baxter’s is part of the rutland golf club. eating is very good and reliable. the service is excellent and accommodating. for lunch they can have a sandwich or whatever they want. dinners offer a variety of choices, all well prepared. it can be a bit loud if it's really busy."

"The staff was very friendly and told us about the restaurant's history. The starter bread with the jam was amazing, we wished we could have bought a glass to come home. We have the ducks and burgers that were cooked perfectly. I just wish we had lived closer so we could go more often."

"We were for a wedding on Friday. Great location with spectacular views. We arrived early and had lunch with drinks at the bar. The padthai and maple BBQ wings were absolutely delicious. The new spicy margarita was also a hit. Wedding and reception were great. All very well structured and the facility was impeccable. We had a really nice room with a great view of the lake and the mountains. My only little thing was that the blinds completely cover the windows to block the sun."

"Simple order: iced tea. unsweetened. UNSWEET ICED TEA. 5 minute wait. Tea arrives. STRONGLY SWEETENED. When I returned same to the window, girls serving insisted It is unsweetened, pointing to their beverage machine. Machine clearly said unsweetened. The tea was nevertheless sweet. Owner became snarky and obnoxious, insisting I KNOW MY PRODUCT. THAT IS UNSWEETENED. Both he and his staff, however, adamantly declined to taste it. Rest of order (food) was average snack bar stuff. Nothing special; Potato chips were crumbled and broken, looked like the end of the bag. Give this place a definite miss. Not a clue about customer service and in this case, not even the decency to return the $2 we paid for the sugary drink we returned ."
