"My wife and I are regular visitors and eating disappointed never. the menu is regularly updated (in contrast to some other pubs in brighton) and the meal times are always delicious. steve, david and the rest of the bar staff are never anything other than friendly and attentive."

"Beautiful looking French caffe with beautiful baked. I love the look and feel of caffe and I think the eating options are really attractive. in the few times I visited, they fled from certain things, but that is not a bad sign! the baked are really buttery and absolutely as they should be. definitiw a place to keep on the list of caffes too often"

"Great fish and chips. Saw the high score on Google and decided to check it out, didn't disappoint! No seating room, so have to take it somewhere, but definitely worth it. Everybody who saw it asked where to get one, because it doesn't compare to anything sold right on the beach. Great coating on the fish (Cod), not oily in any way. Fish is tender and moist. Chips are great, crispy and thick, yet fully cooked. Good selection of tasty sauces and generous portions."

"Booked a table for Sunday lunch and had the roast turkey. It was delicious! All were washed down with a very large glass of wine each for £5.99 a glass which was excellent value. The bramble crumble slice was lovely and fruity, but the treacle tart was the best we had ever had. You can never fault the service at the Nutmeg, some high-end establishments could learn a lot from this team. Thank you for a lovely family meal we all enjoyed it so much. You do need to book to be sure of a table, even in the winter months."
