"Visited with the woman looking for travel adviser and eating was amazing. the place looks like a Portuguese caffe that I would probably say, but eating is so much more. we had 4 tapas dishes, big portion sizes for tapas and everyone was great. can not wait to go back, and try to tell everyone, we can, how good it is, so they try it. the staff was friendly and lady boiled to say hi and was very passionate about eating what was nice to see. do not pass and try it, they will be glad that they are."

"16 of us met for our Christmas dinner, the beaten kuh served good food and the staff was very friendly and helpful both at the organization and at lunchtime. I recommend the spotted cow for both work and in general. I have visited a few paintings and always happy"

"Dropped in with my wife for lunch as it will be closest pub to properties we are looking at to buy in Angmering. We were met by two very polite young ladies and shown to a table for two. All good so far. My wife ordered the Sussex Smokey and I decided on the Fish Fillet 1/4lb burger with fries. At no time were we informed that there would be a wait of over an hour for the food to arrive. After 20 minutes or so it became clear there was a large party in another area that were clearly priority customers. Anyhow we were not in a rush so patiently waited for the food to arrive. When the food eventually arrived it was well presented and looked appetising. after around a minute of the food arriving the young lady who served us asked if all was OK? To be honest I said yes but at that point I had only consumed a few of the fries and my wife was happy with her Sussex Smokey. It was only a few minutes later when I started to consume the Fish burger that I realised the fish was very undercooked. The centre was cold and impossible to bite through. I left it to the side of the plate and finished off the fries, which were very good. I was hoping the waitress would ask again how things were but unfortunately she was so busy dealing with other customers not her fault. I didn't want to kick up a fuss as the waitresses were clearly not to blame and were so very busy. I waited until my wife had finished her meal and the waitress came to clear away the plates before I spoke quietly to her explaining it was inedible and why. It was left on the plate clearly showing it was almost raw. She was very apologetic and said how sorry she was. She then asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. We replied no thank you and can we have the bill. I'm sorry to say that when the bill arrived there was no discount for my mostly inedible meal. I'm guessing my complaint didn't make it to the management and through inexperienced staff it is assumed just a sorry will do. In hindsight we should have been more forceful in asking for a discount but the young ladies were so busy we didn't want to upset them. The fault clearly lies with the management who should be training their staff on how to deal with these kind of complaints. On a positive note my wife really enjoyed the Sussex Smokey!"

"This is a lovely restaurant and the food is also very good. The staff are extremely accommodating and very friendly. The restaurant has a very nice setting that looks out to the garden area. We recommend this restaurant and will be going again."

"This is my favourite local Indian by far I normally have the chicken Madras with plain rice and a narrn always packed with flavour I may try a different curry next time may try the chicken dansak keep up the good work curry villa I'll be in soon"

"Lovely little hotel, well situated for a base when exploring the local area and Arundel. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Reading other reviews about staff rudeness, didn't experience that what so ever, quite the opposite. Pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The only reason it doesnt have five stars from me is the food. It was ok, quite over cooked at times and quite pricey for what you get. I would suggest walking in to the village where there is lots of lovely little places to eat. Also take note, not all breakfast is included as stated when booking. Fruit salad, croissants and cereals free, anything cooked is chargeable so just be aware!"
