The Park Crescent pub is tucked away between the Lewes road and the top of the Level. Though not in the centre of Town, the pubs always seems to be pretty...

"We were looking for a well reviewed fish and chip shop that wasn’t right on the beach and came across Fullers, a street or so back from the pier area. We ordered a large cod £8.50) and a large chips £3.95) to share. Despite the fairly steep prices, we thought we’d made the right choice as the restaurant seemed busy and the cod was being cooked to order. Sadly, when we received our food, we were disappointed. The Cod, though fresh, was around the sort of standard I remember being served by school dinner ladies, with thin, flaky batter. The vinegar was more water than vinegar. The large chip portion was comically small- around a quarter the size of what you might expect from your regular fish and chip shop, despite being considerably more expensive. Even being generous, and assuming that a regular portion at Fullers is 2/3s of a large portion, you’d be getting around two handfuls. I asked one of the staff if we had indeed been given a large, and he shrugged his shoulders dismissively. At the end of our meal, I asked if we could throw away our box in one of their bins, to which the same staff member responded that they didn’t accept their own rubbish, and he instead offered me a plastic bag in which I could carry my rubbish away. Presumably he was trying to give me my moneys worth in packaging. Stick to one of the many more reasonable and traditional fish and chip shops in the area and avoid this overpriced tripe. Fuller s), yes I have been."

"Delicious would be an understatement. Everything we ordered was above and beyond expectations. If you haven't tried the coleslaw then you haven't lived! Both the fudge and honeycombe are a must for a sweet treat"
