"Very nice little pub, off the main drag. Popular with locals and can get quite busy. We went for sausage and mash. A really good selection of different sausages, gravies and mashes. Out of ten I would give the food seven, but fairly good value. Certainly worth a visit."

"I would have liked to give this nice looking pub a review, but sadly did not get that far as the hostility of the woman who greeted me with a surly you have to wear a mask before entering (top tip, I know, I was...about to put my mask on and....how about a hi, how are you? No chance with Ms Grumpy. I don't want to get into a long one here and i know pubs are finding it difficult, but COVID or no virus you need to look out for your customers. This young woman was surly and rude to the point of being offensive. I was made to feel exceptionally unwelcome. So I left while she was pouring the pint of Guinness I was actually looking forward to drinking and popped to the Greys, which is immediately opposite and is SO much friendlier. This goose has been cooked. I'm a Greys man every time in future"

"Went into the shop around asking for a bacon and egg bap, expecting the shop to be like most other cafes. The woman responded sharply and rudely we don't fry anything after This was confusing as her associate accepted my friend's order of...a breakfast baguette(which is also only served before was accepted without question. After repeating herself she checked with her associate who was preparing my friend's baguette. The associate said my order was allowed, but the girl again repeated herself as a reminder'. My request for the egg to be hard fried was evidently ignored, as i discovered when the soft runny yolk burst all over uniform. I was half tempted to walk out the door and tell her not to bother. It was not worth either. The woman lacked an ounce of politeness or etiquette. Save your money and go anywhere else. This is the fourth time we have bought food from here and every time we have they have been rude and impolite, not listening to our orders properly."
