Came for a late lunch and was able to get a seat quickly. Pretty tasty and generous portions. Service was quick once you make your order. Love all the vegetables that came with the meat dishes. View all feedback.
What Alice K doesn't like about Gahwa:
Great bone broth soup to have when it's a cold or rainy day. Side dishes are simple but good. Kimchi is really good. Even with the C rating this place is busy. Staff is friendly and efficient. Minus the two stars because both myself and fiancé didn't feel well afterwards but we would probably still go back because it's good. Also dumplings were great. Ordered it steamed. View all feedback.
This Korean restaurant offers a quite unique dining experience. The food is basic yet flavorful, with highlights being the savory, sweet, and lightly fermented kimchi and the tangy, savory jalapenos. The ox bone tendon soup is simple and requires a touch of self-seasoning, and the seafood pancake is a well-balanced dish that goes excellently with their sweet salty garlic soy sauce. However, the ambiance leaves much to be desired, with a cafeteria-like atmosphere and minimal service. Music is noticeably absent, leaving diners in silence. Nevertheless, the food offerings somewhat make up for the lack of atmosphere. The pricing is on the higher end, so be prepared for that. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're looking for authentic Korean cuisine, but don't expect a vibrant dining atmosphere.

The food is decent but nothing spectacular. Not the best if you want to fill up but a decent spot if you're looking for a light meal that won't break the bank
Good food, fast service. Ignore the health department score and dine like the locals. It's delicious.
Service is a little bare bones but the food is so so good. Get their Dogani muchim or seasoned ox knee salad, and various soups. You can buy their scrumptious Kimchi to go (way better than Hmart Kimchi)
