What User likes about One Inn The Wood:
when they have ever wondered why Britain needed the trade-union revolution when they had a blooming real Ale culture. this is the place for them. locally brewed real ales minus the over expensive, daft names and oh so cool doses. that's a place to drink ale. delicious wonderful ale. it is also worth mentioning that the personal the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is quite enjoyable. highly recommended. Looking at the other reviews, I must be the odd one out. We arrived last Saturday at 10.50 p.m. but although it says clearly on the door that it closes at 11 p.m. and the pub was still busy, the barman wouldn't serve us. Whether...this was pub policy or a whim of the barman, I couldn't say but it was bad for business as he turned away three thirsty punters.
