We stopped in here was some friends for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and the place had a nice atmosphere. I ordered the big breakfast but both the waitress and myself forget to ask/specify how the eggs were done so they came out poached. It came out within 30 minutes which was reasonable as the place was at 75% capacity. There was much more bacon than I was expecting which is good, but only 1 garlic mushro... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Home Plate Kitchen:
I ordered eggs and bacon side... so a fairly common production set for three chefs looking for a simple breakfast menu. the speckschwanz was dry and burned and the soft posing eggs I had asked were over, even straight on the table. pretty disappointing as cook itself, that one would even have the basic of speck and iron to industry standard. This restaurant is such a gem! The staff is fantastic, the food is delicious, and they have games and books to entertain kids. The ukelele adds a nice touch as well. The atmosphere is welcoming and the coffee is out of this world. HPK definitely checks all the boxes. Keep up the fantastic work!
You won't find better local cafe if you live in Burleigh Waters. Staff are excellent, service is quick, food is great. Ohh, the coffee is too! Dog friendly to top it off!
Love this place, i,m not even sure where to start, the food is amazing, the coffee sublime, and the owners are just about the nicest hardworking upbeat people you will ever meet : ps, its dog and kid friendly :
Having lived literally almost next door to this Blackboard shop, I'm very partial to it.
If you're looking for hearty food that has you coming back for more, this is the place for you.
