"Bought pies, salads, porridge and chocolate to take back to rental cottage. Absolutely wonderful food actually nicer than the eye watering costly meal we'd had out in Grasmere the day before and for a fraction of the price. Pies were Lancashire cheese and onion and the Dhal Gobi. Delicious. The owners were lovely too even though my attempts at the self serve bit were poor. And the chocolate selection wow. You will definitely turn your nose up at the overpriced, sugar laden stuff sold elsewhere in Ambleside after eating the brands they stock. Not cheap but actually worth every penny. You get what you pay for and this place stocks healthy,tasty fuel not calorific rubbish."

"Staying locally for a short break and being a big curry fan I decided to research the area for a suitable restaurant. No.3 Curry house sounded very good so decided to order , we had for mains Tikka Naga Kahari, both chicken dishes. All the food was of a very high standard , service was also excellent. If in the area do not hesitate to order as we will when next visiting. Food: 5"

"Probably one of the best ice creams I had in the usa! the vegan choc skyberry sorbet and carrot cake are two delicious aromas! if they are an ice cream lover, the generous creatures will not disappoint them!"

"Five stars not enough. the restaurant itself is small with just a few diners per seat. flawless and personable service and showcasing has the best food cumbria to offer. all of the highest quality and creativity and flair was obvious. no real room for improvement! (visited in april and hope soon again)"

"We had one night in Kendal recently and decided on a meal in Pedro's Casa on the spur of the moment, and very glad we did! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, advising us on the size of the different dishes so that we didn't...over order (too much The food itself was absolutely delicious and turned up promptly. It really is a great little restaurant that we'd highly recommend to anyone visiting Kendal."

"After an exhausting day we headed back to the hotel in need of refreshments a light bite, lots of cafes to chose from but this appealed we weren’t disappointed, was going to be lattes only but decided on a BLT to share, it was so filling plenty of bacon which was nice chunky too, thoroughly enjoyed it, if you’re out with your 4 legged friend, they’re dog friendly too with great food at reasonable prices what’s not up like?"
