I wish I had found this place a lot earlier during my Cairns holiday. best vegan dine in the meal that I had in a spoonnggg time. the personal was happy and accommodating beverage order was confused, but there was no problem to fix. great aromas and generous foods. clean, cool and comfortable restaurant. will be back next time. read more.

I find it hard to even give this restaurant one star. Not only was our order completely messed up, the food was cold and tasteless. The Vermicelli noodles were as though they had been sitting in ice water all day and just dumped the bowl. This food was terrible, absolutely horrendous. The prices are also out of this world they charged $5 for a very small pot of green tea, and they charged six dollars for an iced coff... read more.

The Yaya's speciality dish of Lamb and Lemon potatoes was the best I have eaten, a great balance of flavours and seasoning the lamb was so soft and melt in your mouth and the potatoes with just the right hint of lemon..... perfection! Save room for dessert as the Baclava ice-cream is gorgeous, a medley of creamy, nutty, honey goodness. A great way to finish your meal coupled with an authentic greek coffee! This is definitely a must do destination for Dinner if you are travelling to Cairns. Great service and a welcoming atmosphere from the staff made this a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. "My family celebrated my birthday at Tamarind and we had a fabulous time! All the dishes were sensational, I particularly enjoyed the baby barramundi which is served upright on the plate with a delicious tamarind sauce. The sides were very generous portions and all yummy. The most excellent part though was the service! The staff were friendly, attentive and went above and beyond in their interactions. I have no hesitation recommending this restaurant to people enjoying a romantic date or a larger celebration like ours."
