Waterfront Seafood Shack - Calabash

First, we love eating outside when there 's a beautiful view. Second, the food 's fantastic! We tried the Captain and regretted it. Higher prices and less food doesn 't press me!! The food is priced right here. The atmosphere is relaxing, the guys and gals here are always so friendly and the service is fast. I asked for this and that probably three times and was served with genuine kindness and smiles. Such a nice young man. He even took a moment to chat with hubby. Btw, I had the fried flounder and shrimp combo with fries (hubby ate Cole slaw and hush puppies. For a dollar more I ordered the fried corn. Let 's just say you 've GOT TO GET THE FRIED CORN! I got it for hubby but I did manage to get a few bites The flounder was perfect. Nice sized filet, thick and perfectly cooked still juicy inside. (Our guy said it 's the entire side of the fish and it is. Mmmm! The shrimp was great, too. Lightly battered. Hubby for the Mahi sandwich which came with nothing unless.you added that 's why he got my fries.amd corn. My food was MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ME

I chose this place because of the Google reviews. It was definitely worth going. The food was excellent and a very pet friendly atmosphere!

I was turned on to this place by another Veteran who moved to the area. You can go out for a fishing trip, go by for a bite to eat or take home fresh seafood and prepare it the best way you know how. In a week's time I ended up there twice and it was a 30-45 minute drive each way for me. Completely worth the trip! The Shrimp was Devine... Fresh, Sweet and Right off the Boat. Extremely reasonable in pricing. The first time, I ended up cleaning the shrimp by myself. Let's just say I developed a quick and healthy respect for anyone who has to clean shrimp... Second time, paid the extra $2.00 a pound and enjoyed the experience so much more! This trip, I didn't go out on the boat or eat their prepared food. I will be going back and will do both at some point. The guys were great to talk to. Friendly, Helpful and really enjoyed our talks. If your in Calabash, I would Highly Recommend making this one of your stops!

Highly recommend! Our waitress was very nice and recommended menu items. Very affordable price for the portion size. Great waterfront view. Because it was time for a charter boat to go out, there was a crowd around the restaurant but we were seated immediately and had a very short wait for our food.

Excellent little place to grab some really good food! Josie was a great server, very knowledgeable of the menu and was very prompt. I chose the blackened shrimp basket with fries. They are B.Y.O.B if you'd like to have an adult beverage with your meal( which I'll do next time), they do charge $2 for that, but it's well worth it.
