What Moriston likes about Le Bato Ivre:
My husband and I had our evening meal here on two separate occasions recently and couldn't fault them. Despite being towards the end of the season it was still fairly busy and surprisingly the chunky plastic chairs are very comfortable! The service was friendly and quick, the food (one evening we had Moules and another the set menu at 17.50 euros for three courses) was fabulous and the red wine at 8 euros for a half... we ate at this restaurant. last week unfortunately....even off season the waiter could not keep up with his work...so I think it was the owner that came and took our order eventually...after 30 minutes of waiting...then he argued with me as i ordered my entrecote bien cuite........he told me (as he thought i was a holiday maker once he heard my accent......! that i should eat the steak as it would be cooked by them.....
