"We had the lunch special option, which includes half a sandwich, and a choice of soup or salad. Everything was delicious! My partner ordered the turkey, and I got the roasted vegetables panino, and it was delicious! They use pickled onions and roasted peppers for the sandwich and the salad, which makes for a delightful, milder and easier to digest combination. The house salad has greens, onions, peppers, cabbage, and crumbled cheese. We shared a carrot cake for dessert, and it's one of the best I ever ate! Highly recommend this beautiful place. All the staff was extremely attentive as well."

"Pecan Pier was amazing. The children loved the chocolate Eclairs and chocolate cream cakes. The apple cake was crazy. What I didn't appreciate in this place was the cash register. He was really short-tempered, rude and explained nothing really, just on a sign. I didn't even ask if we wanted to or should go there. The whole vibe was killed."

"The high ratings put this place on our list, but after reading the menu, we pushed it to the top. I mean, Lobster Corndogs? Lobster Pot Pie? We had to find out, and we were so glad we did. First I’ll mention that the service was excellent and the space was cozy. The corndogs were presented as lollipops. They were light, crispy on the outside and, with a touch of the mustard and aioli, scrumptious. Lobster Pot Pie was flavorful and luscious, but it was more like a thick bisque with only little bits of lobster and mushrooms than it was a pot pie. The puff pastry topper was well baked, but sitting on what was basically a thick soup, the bottom half was not crispy, so it could not be cut through easily. It sank into the filling when any pressure was applied. Even when removed to a plate it was hard to cut. Perhaps it would have been better if baked or precut into small pieces. Not as pretty but less frustrating. Still, it was delicious. My spouse enjoyed the crusted catfish as much as the corndogs. We were too full to finish with a dessert. This was one of two best meals we’ve had on our weeklong visit to this lovely town (the other was at Black Cat Bistro)."

"Really interesting menu designed for sharing and judging by the hubbub people were having a great time doing it. But the best thing here was the service. First a small thing the 'maitre d ' checking plates of artichoke as they went back to the kitchen, I guess to make sure they had not been left uneaten for whatever reason. Our waitress was really good at turning up when needed, explaining the menu, and chatting when time allowed. Finally, the wine. We had a bottle of Paso Robles 'Broadside ' Cabernet Sauvignon, which was really excellent I don 't often follow up wines from restaurants, but this was so distinctive I wanted to know more."

"Really enjoyed my stay at The Cambria Pines Lodge. Shout out to Joe at the front desk being so helpful in finding me the perfect room. The view from the balcony was incredible! He really cared about making sure my stay was special and went the extra mile. Took a walk down the steps into town which was really beautiful through the trail."
