"Drinks are amazing! Food not so much. Would have given it 1 star if it was not for the ambiance, cleanliness and drinks. Tried the 3 taco plate with 3 different meats and it was way way way to salty, almost unbearable. I chalk it up to an off day oraccident by the chef. I asked my other half what she thought about her plate before I influenced her decision. She said the meatis way to salty. Might have to give it another go someday or just go for the drinks."

"We usually have good experiences here (reason giving 4 stars instead of lower). However, our most recent was a party of 8, most of our food was lukewarm and some of my bananas on the French toast were brown. But the most disappointing part was my mom asked for hot syrup because the pancakes were cold (room temperature butter on the table wouldn?t even melt) the server didn?t offer to replace the pancakes instead she brought hot syrup. "Made reservations for 3 at 5pm, arrived, and were seated near Pond Window. Server was Alex, very sweet, and helpful. We ordered 2 Fillets one Ribeye, and table sides. Food came out after other had come in and ordered... Both Fillets were cold. I spoke to the manager, instead of taking food back(he did offer), he tried to tell me, and wife that food was hot, and he saw it come up? I voiced my opinion again to server, it was now 30-35 minutes into our meal, table behind us, received food and had steam coming off of entree? Manager came back over, said he would make it right, He took off the Filets, and adjusted the bill. I have been eating at Boykin Mill for many years, food and atmosphere are always excellent. I will continue to dine at Boykin Mill Rest. And support independent venues. As a note, I left gratuity as if full meal was charged. Server and Water person did not need to be penalized."
