Serviço muito amigável, pouco tempo de espera, ambiente muito tranquilo e comida divina. nós aconselhamos
We visited Foz Do Minho in 2017 and were wowed. We hoped that it would be as good as we remembered. It was great. Staff lovely and it always feels a bit quirky. We ate there over three nights and tried the caldo which was an excellent way to start a meal.We had the roast veal, the chicken and the calamares. All were lovely. People next to us had the fish and they seemed wowed with it, We didn't expect to eat out every night but we couldn't not being just down the road from here. Planning our return visit already. Lovely place with lovely people. We thanked them for everything and got a lovely wave and smile from the ladies who do the cooking, Great stuff,
We went to Foz de Minho looking for somewhere to enjoy a good fish meal after stumbling on the Moledo area, south of Caminha and its beautiful boardwalk and white sand beach on the headland with the Atlantic. We were the first in the restaurant at 7:15 but it soon filled up. We were glad to have been early as it meant we had a window table and a beautiful view of the sunset. Service was good despite the language barrier the waiters tried hard to guess what we wanted! They brought out prawns and croquettes and bread while we were waiting. There was a small extra charge but all were delicious. I particularly loved the fishy croquettes. For the main course we shared the bacalhau, 25 euros for two and that was very filling and tasty. We managed to squeeze in a dessert too, I had almond chocolate and vanilla ice-cream which though preprepared was exactly right to finish a lovely meal. With a bottle of wine the bill was 51.80 euros.
With our long vacation coming to an end we decided to take our host (sister-in-law) our for dinner. We decided on Foz do Minho. I have visited many restaurants along the coast over the past few years but somehow kept missing this one! I am glad we finally made it to Foz..one of the best overall meals during the past 5 weeks We made a reservation but had to change it last minute due to heavy traffic leaving a festa in Ponte de Lima....we were an hour later and the staff were accommodating ...upon our arrival our reserved table was ready for us and we had a great view! We ordered our food....and drinks... 1. Food came out hot...it was plentiful ...it was delicious...all plates came out at the same time! Chicken, Codfish and steak ...preceded by Caldo verde soup and finished with pudding flan, creme de leite and tiramisu ... 2. Service...best so far !!! The waiter returned to our table a few minutes after delivering the food to ask if we were satisfied....this is something we don’t see much...as soon as a course was completed, staff would clear the table and seconds later return with the next plate... 3 Ambiance...shhhhhhh...listen.....it is actually quiet!!! Yes!! The four of us dining could actually talk to each other...no crying babies...kids running around....loud yelling ...soccer/football on tv...a nice peaceful dinner with lots of conversation! Overall experience was fantastic, the cost of the meal was somewhat average in this area but the quality and service made the value! I thought it would be much higher! Again pleasantly surprised. We left a great tip for our waiter...the great service provided warranted it! My only criticism and it is a small one, would be to lower the lighting intensity inside the dining room...it was very bright! I will definitely be returning to this restaurant on my future visits to Portugal
