The food was not as good as we expected. Became loud when a group with 6 kids were seated next to us. Waitress took forever to come back to the table to check on us and bring bill. View all feedback.

the food was excellent, the price for the escape was ok. the bar had a selection of new york bourbons, I would have preferred more variety, but this is a place for new York source articles. View all feedback.

Another local CDGA hit or miss dining experience. I hadn 't had dinner here for a while, but a recent family brunch that was delicious tempted me. This review is for the dinner, which was decent, but not a rave. Husband had the best dish: giant meatballs with penne. The sauce was tangy, meatballs were not too dense given their size, only complaint was the penne not al dente enough. For under 20, a good dish. I had the steak frites with glazed brussel sprouts. I love this dish in general, but woe to the chef who serves me just a plate of steak and a side of fries at a 30 price tag. Unfortunately, that 's what I got. The steak was lovely I ordered medium well, after a debacle at another restaurant recently where my request for medium resulted in a drippy rare steak; I wish last night I 'd have ordered the medium, I believe they 'd have nailed it. The presentation though...the fries looked (and tasted) dry and bland, even though these are a central aspect of the dish. The aoili sauce was too thick, not creamy so much as goopy, and used more for contrasting color than to assist the flavors. The brussel sprouts were a huge disappointment. What a great combination, especially the addition of some green to the dish. But there were only about 10 halves that again seemed more like color than a flavor and texture compliment. Especially not texture they were too soft, as if they 'd been sauted up from frozen. I hoped for a nice crisp glazed exterior with a little crunch left inside. And again, for 30 bucks, I also expected a side dish serving on the plate, not a sprinkling. Wow, that 's a lot of complaints over steak and fries right? Hey, if the place us gonna use the restaurant to elevate there brand as a foodie central, then yep, I expect obvious attention to the details. That 's the difference between my decision to stay in CDGA for a dinner date, or drive down to Geneva and spend the same at Kindred Fare. Next time I 'll probably make the drive.
Having music is nice, but band played way too loud for the setting. OK in dining room but way too loud in the bar area.
The experience was very good. The food was great and prepared and presented with imagination. The wine selection was very nice as well. Service was excellent. Servers had good knowledge and treated us well, willing to suggest and recommend when asked. The waiting times for service were near perfect. The intervals between servings were good. The prices are on the high side in our opinion; however, they were not over the top for what we received overall.
Good place for dinner but way too slow for lunch especially when there were very few tables occupied.
