I have visited this cafe on many occasions when i visit Canberra and have never been dissapointed. Friendly, energetic, welcoming staff. Excellent service and delicious, yummy exotic food. This cafe is open, sundrenched seats if you want to sit outside and attention to detail for the Canberra weather which can get chilly, outdoor seating has heaters and blankets. What User doesn't like about Double Shot Deakin:
Wear all you warm gear if going here in winter, we waited outside for 1/2hr for a inside table only to be taken through the closed in section to a rear section which was just as cold as outside! Ordered Tapioca porridge, menu said it came with mango, coconut, dates, agave and pecan crunch. It was basically boiled tapioca with tinned peaches on top and a very small amount of pecan crunch. Staff who have forgotten that hospitality is a service industry. Won’t be back. Far more welcoming cafes with better menus close by.
