We discovered Makcaris when we visited Herne Bay as tourists. The menu was comprehensive and covered the three of us well. I did find some of the food a little expensive £15 for fish and chips) but appreciate costs have gone up and it is a tourist destination. The staff were friendly and welcoming and one day we’d like to return to try out the amazing looking ice cream sundaes! View all feedback.

Knickerbocker glory with no fruit or famous Makcaris wafer. Husband's banana split fell off the dish and onto the table. One grim toilet with open topped sanitary towel bin! Not going back. Not worth £10 each. (Not the bandstand one) View all feedback.

Spacious and airy cafe with friendly, efficient staff. The menu is deceptively simple but the sandwiches and wraps were fresh, tasty and generously filled.
