"I have my mother here for the mother day and had a very pleasant experience. very beautiful ambiente and very beautiful tee and cake! we had waited a little for a place because the place is tiny, but when we were sitting, we were not rushed and we had a nice view of the small courtyard from where we were sitting. the staff was friendly and helpful, so much she could despite the business. the place is a little expensive, but for the quality of the snacks we had, I would say it was worth it. I'll be back"

"Seating area located next to/inside the vibrant Goods Shed market. Service was fairly friendly and attentive, but very slow! They reassured us that everything was alright and the kitchen was running fine but it still took a considerable amount of time to get our mains. I had the carrots and cucumber with anchovy mayo to start wouldn't recommend. As nice and fresh as it all was, nowhere on the menu did it say it would be raw and just assembled. The mayo was also quite weak, especially for an anchovy mayo. For the main, I had the lamb sorry I can't remember what came with it, but it was very tasty would recommend. Pricepoint is leaning towards overpriced, some items are better value than others. Overall experience was quite good, except for the speed."

"This place was once one of the best resturants in canterbury and would like to wish the owners and former employees every success in everything they do in future. eating and service were always fantastic. many thanks for eating here several times, especially with how expert they are for large groups. a few unlimited customers apparently placed wrong bookings without checking or calling after the owners were forced to come near; in my opinion, these unfair assessments are not a reflection on what was a wonderful restorer."

"It is wonderful to see that the business has expanded from its former tiny cafe/bar style premises so that Mr Miyagi now accommodates table dining. Not knowing about the move, I happened across their new restaurant (close to the Cathedral entrance) after walking to the old premises and finding that it had closed down this is my first time in Canterbury since before Lockdown One. I have been eating at Mr Miyagi's for some years (but only get to go their when I happen to be visiting Canterbury) and the food is, and always has been, excellent the best I have had in the UK. And given the quality of the food, the value is astonishing compared to the prices a well known sushi chain charges for their mediocre offerings. The menu offering is deliberately limited to sushi/sashimi/nigiri and a few teriyaki and ramen dishes, with everything hand prepared on site on the day or to order. There is no flashy conveyor belt, just a simple clean setting, with attentive service and Mr Miyagi himself on hand ready and willing to offer assistance when selecting from the menu. If you have not tried Japanese cuisine before, particularly sushi/sashimi/nigiri, this is the place to start."

"We had a really nice mother's meal in Leonora's kitchen, a great find as we are not out of the area and it was a bit a bit of a bit of a bit in the dark. Great food, friendly service, don't worry, it's just a tea shop as you enter, there's more in the back. Thanks for a nice lunch! X"
