My friend, Rob, had a major birthday and I was on the road in the US and unable to be there. I sent 7 pies from Jana to my friend's party. My friend called and said they were really a great addition to the party and that he gained ten pounds. Highly recommended. View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about Jana's Bake Shop:
We bought 3 cake pieces and an Auberginen-Cutney on the pop-up. The cakes were not decorated as in some photos. The carrot cake was good, damp, but not oily as they can be. The chocolate cake was okay. I found the cake of the lemon cake really quite dry. For all cakes the icing to cake ratio was inadequate. The Auberginen-Cutney was delicious. View all feedback.

"Nice place on the main drag in Cowichan Bay. It's a nice little detour between Duncan and Victoria. Parking might be a little dicey on a busy day but we had no problem. The place had only one occupied table. The menu is largely made up of a variety of crepes with different fillings. This is not a vegan restaurant. There was, as I recall, one vegetarian crepe which is what I chose. It was stuffed with zucchini and eggplant and a good helping of goat cheese. It was very tasty but it was very rich. I decided to only eat half and bring the rest for later. The other crepe selections were basically variations of beef, pork, chicken and, of course, seafood. My partner went with the chicken and enjoyed it. The restaurant has a comfortable but a bit plain, rustic feel. The nice part is that it's on the water and has a nice view. Service was efficient. This is a spot that relies heavily on tourists and local traffic. I personally won't go back but that's because of my vegan/vegetarian preference. As a satisfying spot for everyday diners I think it's worth a look."

"This place used to be a 5 star, but its different now. Been 2 times in the last while. Server came over chewing food, and had to ask my order 5 times because he wasn 't listening properly. Food came out and there was a clump of uncooked noodles in the middle of my soup. No refund because no boss, no refund .I 'm very sad because this place used to be my favorite to go with my group of friends, but we will no longer be going. I still remember the youuur welcome server from a while ago, James I believe. Hopefully this restaurant will one day be good again."
