"Swiss cuisine seems to take the best from Germany and France. The entrees were well prepared and very rich and delicious. They have a dessert to die for: called Swiss Meringue or something like that. Meringue, whipped cream, and ice cream. "We chose Haro's for a special birthday lunch and were all glad we did. Haro's was recommended several times to us; one couple were on the last leg of a Canadian vacation and said the food here was the best they had anywhere. The atmosphere is really nice and the service was wonderful. Peter, our waiter, was great and brought "Happy Birthday" sticky pudding for Mom."

"Always so friendly and welcoming. Food is great, and good sized portions. Usually have the chicken quesadilla platter relish! Also love their borscht, when they have it, and their maple walnut cheesecake (and I'm not usually a dessert person). Just feels homey and comfortable. Lisa, Jen, and the others so cheery!"

"We had a late lunch with friends before boarding the ferry on a Saturday afternoon, sat outside on the very comfortable terrace and ordered from a fairly comprehensive pub menu which had a good selection of brews. Service was fairly prompt with one exception -- an order was initially left off because of overcrowding, which really didn't describe the number of people inside or out. No surprises with the food -- from pretty standard fish and chips to excellent salmonburgers and yamfries. A lovely old building overlooking Canoe Cove and a pleasant place to wait for the ferries that are a five minute drive away."
