Open after lunch. Turned up after 2pm accommodated us for food, after a couple of other restaurants said ‘no’ as ‘out of lunch hours’ we had the €25 menu- apatif- I had horgras, a sweet wine, foie gras salads, cassoulet royale (didn’t have any pork left) duck breast. a couple of simple desserts. We arrived in Carcassonne at dinner time on a Sunday and had not made any reservations. In France this means you have no chance to eat in a good place. So our expectations were not very high when we went to La Cotte de Mailles. It had mostly good reviews on Tripadvisor so we decided to try it, But we were very disappointed with the service and the food. Very primitive touristy eatery, that's what it is read more.
