"We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our apartment owner and we were not disappointed. The menu is only in french but even someone with my limited french could order, along with the assistance of the restaurant's very helpful Martinique waiter. There is a...choice of 3 set menus (20, 25 or 35 euros) each offering either 2/3 courses plus an a la carte menu too. There was a good, and very reasonably priced, wine list. The restaurant also provided lovely freshly baked bread and coffee at no extra cost. It's worth veering off from the small local square, where there are a lot of restaurants serving very similar type food, to find Le Cathare."

"Infrequently but regularly go here for a basic reasonably priced lunch. From experience, the main courses are not always to my liking so my wife and I usually take the 2 course buffet which has a reasonable choice of meat, fish and salad etc. and with as extra the cheap but good house wine.The buffet for 2 with wine ends up under 25 euros and the lunchtime staff are always friendly and efficient.The restaurant is popular at lunch with local workers and particularly on Sundays with families too.Seafood buffet on Friday evenings."
