"We stopped at this location while visiting from out of town on Friday, September 15th. The sign on the door said they opened at 4:30 PM. We made a trip back around 5:30 and the place was still closed. Locals informed us the business is for sale and is never open. If this is true, Mad Paddle needs to update their door signage and Google information so people are forewarned not to waste their time."

"My hubby and I have been going to Scoops for at least 15+ years. We drive from Fort Wayne (a day trip) just for the ice cream. IT IS THE BEST! All of the owners have been EXTREMELY friendly, The current one as well. We have NEVER been disappointed except for a couple of times they were not open. I'm thrilled they are dog friendly too lol. We tell everyone they NEED to go to Madison for some HUGE scoops of Scoop ice cream"

"Breakfast with view! Large windows overlooking the Ohio River make you feel like you're almost on one of the big bars that move along the river. The breakfast offers are simple, but the portions were sufficient to feel me. The domestic frits seem to have been baked instead of fried, as they were not fat at all. On the bottom, at least for me, the casting is already served mixed with butter taste. I prefer my geese with a patch of real butter, thank you."

"I went to Key West Shrimp House at 8:15 p.m. and was greeted by a cheerful hostess who immediately thanked me for coming. I asked if I were too late considering that the restaurant was closed in 45 minutes, and she assured me, even if you went in at 8:55, you still receive the same great service. She sat down and, after finding the first time in the restaurant, it was about explaining the curiosities of the not so typical salad bar. Well-kept watermelon bark, potato salad, three pastalates and a herb marinated tomato salad were just some of the amazing options. I remember saying that the soups are something onion, chicken something and seafood cahowder. Yes, OMGoodness, Whew! I need this seafood knower for a lifetime!! Bryce was an amazingly attentive waiter and very personal. He could explain the Entrées and answer all my questions. I ordered New York Strip, medium with lobster and double baked potato. He assured me that medium was really medium heavy. When it arrived, he asked me to check the steak to see if it was my wishes. It was a perfect medium good. The highlight of the evening was when the hostess came by and asked me what I like. She showed such an obvious passion about her that I had to ask if she was the owner. Of course she was, hahahahahaha!!! Cathy took the time to answer my questions about the story and how it became the owner. 25 minutes later and well after the restaurant had closed, we had a great conversation. I never felt welcome in a restaurant anymore. Cathy 's South Carolina roots and southern charm has certainly made this a wonderful and unforgettable experience. I recommend the Key West Shrimp House!"

"Right on the main road in Madison. We had hamburgers. The regular Shipley Burger was huge and I love eating it. A real burger but and delicious. It is also a tavern, so maybe not the family night's place, but very nice at noon. Also the pages we have, fries and onion RI gs were great. A more expensive hamburger, but worth it."
