"We had the limited Christmas day menu. The food was good but still overpriced. Soup, turkey and dressing and dessert for $75? The atmosphere and staff were excellent and made you feel very welcome."

"I got the chicken sandwich. It was a little bland for me. The chips were good. Hubby got the hamburger. He ordered it medium well but it was raw. He had to send it back. Second burger was cooked right. He said is was just ok. He loved the homemade fries. It is a little pricey here so we expected better flavors."

"Great place, great food and the margaritas are fantastic. We always look forward to eating here every time we come to the highlands. Brisket, pulled pork, quesadilla, beans, Mac, slaw, hush puppies all are great. Service is good and the kids enjoy eating on the deck/patio. Again the smokehouse margarita is ?. See yall next"

"OUTSTANDING meal! Appetizer, mains, desserts, and drinks were all perfection. Service was the definition of southern hospitality. We sat on the covered patio and didn't feel rushed, even as things got busier around us. Alcohol-free options were easy here, as the bartender made every drink to order and was happy to recommended several NA options. The martini-style drink does not contain any alcohol and wasn't overly sweet. Divine!"

"Have been a few times before but put off this time by a couple of things. We literally had to flag someone down to get waited on after about 10-15 minutes, it was busy but NOT crazy busy. Several service people kept passing us right by with zero acknowledgement. This was very annoying since service all around us looked very attentive Other issues: they brought out our appetizer same exact time as our salads, very limited bourbon selection, really CHEESY piano player playing very basic old fashioned music selections. In general, the place caters to the 75 yr old Highlands regulars. The service and food timing issues not forgivable for a $150+ dinner for two. So, they have moved to bottom of our consideration list next time we are in the area. On plus side, the food was pretty good."

"We had lunch and breakfast twice at Madison’s. This was our favorite dining experience in Highlands. The breakfast, even just the simple eggs and bacon was out of this world. My wife and I have never had bernton’s bacon and it was cooked so well. The service was exceptional. My favorite unexpected pleasure was the biscuits. Simple and delicious. The chicken biscuits for breakfast were phenomenal- they come with a bacon jam and again the biscuits are made so well. We loved Madison’s!"

"For 10 years. Tonight? General Tso?s was the worst thing I ever had. They saw cold frozen chicken nuggets and the sauce had no taste. Didn't even have onions in it. I hope it was just a fuke."
