sadly, this great place has closed after changing the hands. beautiful space will waste. I love the public inn (restaurant page of republic.) that is eating.

great eating, service and weeping on the barrel, this is a must for breakfast, lunch or dinner. gluten-free friendly.

so my first experience here was quite meh. this place looks so inviting. it is built into the old building of the castlemaine fire brigade and I love it.

"Ate here with my husband. There didn't seem to be much choice in the way of evening dining in Castlemaine, but we were quite happy to find this place. It has a steady stream of people piling in for in house dining and take away. They follow an interesting format where everything is geared for take away and if you want to eat in, you simply grab a plate and utensils and await your meal. The food was great and the staff lovely."

"Looked after beautifully when there was an error with the meal order. Would highly recommend the gnocchi, definitely had menu envy over that choice with the melt in the mouth beef cheek, yum!Staff were great and the open fire delightful on a winter evening"
