"Recent changes to this eatery had kept me away, but looking for take away for the family one night and picked up a menu... phoned my order ahead, and went in to collect. Food was ready, a quick run down on the new business model and I was good to go! Food was amazing, as it has always been. So no disappointments here!"

"Nice place for a snack, meal, coffee, drink. Friendly staff. Pleasant gardens. The nourish bowls are delicious and there is a nice range of homemade cakes and slices. The pizzas are okay too but the pizza chef could check out what a pizza with the lot actually should include! as it was very very light on toppings. Maybe just had the pizza on the pizza cook's day off!"

"Ornate chandelier hanging from a steel beam warehouse inside seating resembles a saloon car on the Orient Express, carnival style striped awnings the usual Cafe seating outside might sound like an almighty clash but it does add to the charm of this Austrian Cafe in Castlemaine. Recommend the Debreziner. I would give hot choc a miss it was ordinary. You get a rousing welcome by usherer outside staff are great dressed the part."

"We have had a few breakfasts here as a family and a number of morning coffees with friends. The cafe is very clean, the staff are always very friendly and the service is super efficient. The food is fresh and very tasty whether it be savoury from the menu or sweet from the cabinet. It's position is very handy being in the centre of town. Great place for breakfast, lunch or coffee catch-up."

"We had a nice lunch in this iconic cultural center with wooden fireplaces. michael gave great service and eating was top notch. I would highly recommend the gnocchi bark wange, but others in our party enjoyed the gummy hai and sous vide huhn special."

"I am positive they didn't check my ID properly, but then they said they did and were adamant (in fact that was blow by blow commenting on fb which I found v immature and ended up blocking just to be petty, btw, it was...my WWC not my licence that you say you checked and they didn't appear very welcoming to me. They appeared busy and like I was intruding a tad. Anyway, went to another place around the corner which was much busier, but which was so inviting and friendly and great food, that I will recommend it to everyone. Won't be going back to this place. Can't tell you re the food as I never got in the door really. I am v happy with my choice though, and I eventually enjoyed my experience in Castlemaine, a lovely little town."
