What User likes about The Hildyard Arms:
one of the best places I stayed during my coast to coast during the camping. the pub is on the trail so they can't miss it. there is a large garden on the back to place a tent and the toilet/shower facilities are better, then they are on some professional camping sites. the staff here are very friendly and helpful and have a great meal with more than enough calories to get me through the next day of hiking. DO NOT USE, they scammed us of £100 we traveled 100 mile to there shepherds hut for them to say its already booked then wouldnt give us a refund weve tried and tried to get one but no luck, the environment there is awful me and my girlfriend walked in everyone stopped talking and staired immediately my girlfriend wanted to leave because they made her feel uncomfortable worst place I’ve visited in this country.
