I am pretty choosy re my FnC, and having recently moved nearby thought I would give them a try.What a great pleasure it was - friendly service, crisply grilled flake and scallops, and chips done to perfection.Certainly will be back and recommending to anyone nearby.(Have been to the 'better known' one across the tracks and in my fussy opinion 70s leaves them for dead). What User doesn't like about That 70S Fish Shop:
We came here for a quick takeaway lunch. The fish was small and while it was a generous serving of chips the whole thing was very greasy and only luke warm by the time we drove the 5 minutes home. The fish sticks would be better replaced to dim sims in the two pack as they lacked any type of flavour. Whilst it was still edible I don't think we would come back. View all feedback.
The BEST flake I've had, Ever! I don't know how they do it, but the battered fish is served crunchy and stays crunchy til you've finished eating.
Growing up I never spent much time in fish and chips shops.
