This was a gastronomique meal with service in a traditional way. It was a large quiet room with doors open onto a large garden. I had foie gras de canard with a glass of Vouvray moelleux. It was excellent. My daughters had rondelle d'agneau and salmon. For my main course I had scallops with a raillou sauce (black radish). It was delicious. What léopold trassard doesn't like about La Renaudiere:
Beautiful old house but unfortunately the interior does not honor it with obsolete equipment and a lack of maintenance. The park is, however, very pleasant with tables and chairs. Breakfast is not at all at the height of the price of 10€/pers, any industrial, prepackaged, from the large distribution of the soft baguette to tea/chocolate, to the jams or madeleines under plastic, to avoid for the price.. "The entire experience at Auberge du Bon Laboureur was sublime. The service was excellent and yet comfortable, not pretentious. We felt like we were being entertained in a private home. It was just so lovely, We took our aperitif in the bar, then moved to the dining room. There were several taster surprises from the chef. The menus was a perfect selection with an emphasis on locally sourced products. Every bite was perfection. I tried the chef’s signature dessert. It was made of parmasean cheese among other wonderful things and was served with a small lightly dressed arugula salad which perfectly balanced the tart yet rich dessert. I left the property determined to return for a longer stay and several nights in that’s restaraunt!"
