Great food, consistently good, excellant service from owner and staff.
This is a great restaurant and probably the best in Banbury. Lovely inside and food is superb. Great take away, easy to order on line.

"We went here late Friday afternoon for their 1/2 price Fish Chips. We were so impressed. Firstly, I’m a vegetarian, so eat dairy and I really wanted veggie fish and chips as the husband was having F C. They have halloumi on the menu here, so I barefaced asked if they’d do some halloumi in batter so that I could have similar to the Mr. They agreed and when it came out it looked amazing and tasted really delicious, very naughty, but hey, it was Friday and looked like Fish and Chips and bonus, 1/2 price! This traditional pub just outside Bicester is absolutely wonderful, so friendly and cosy, especially with the wood burner lit which oozes the ambiance needed on a crisp Autumnal afternoon/evening. We were looked after impeccably by the staff, especially our lovely waiting person, she couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was worthwhile. I’d come here every Friday if my waist line could take it!"

"We have never been to the white horse but we heard it was under new ownership. We went with some friends for Sunday lunch and had an amazing meal (and espresso martini) highly recommend and its so close to banbury. There is also a really good park for the kids so everyone is happy!!! Sara."

"…in that gilets and Range Rovers are not mandatory and the the service is excellent! My Korean beef and leaf ‘tacos’ dish was delicious, including the pickled ‘kimchi’ carrots and meat itself in particular. Lovely setting too plus I recommend trying (and then even buying) some of their chilli sauce too."

"I stopped in this market town at lunchtime and found this café close to the church. I ordered a jacket potato with chilli and it was quickly and nicely prepared and tasted good. The price was competitive too."

"Visited on 24th april. we have as a party of 4. beautiful restaurant feels like in italy with the stone floors and music. elegantly dressed tables. crisp white bed linen and sparkling glasses and crockery. our server was polite and friendly, eating was divine. A... word bellissimo, we're coming back. if they are in banbury and they are looking for a hauch of italien la foglia is for them. they will not be disappointed."
