"We had a garlic bread with cheese starter which was lovely. The daughter had chicken goujons and chips and the wife had smothered chicken and chips and both were very nice. I had the fish and chips, the chips were homemade and very nice but the fish wasnt so good (great batter but inside was just a slimy mush). I would go here again but i'd definitely give the fish a miss."

"We stumbled across this restaurant offering takeaway this evening. It was an excellent choice. Staff were very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our takeaway food. The quality and quantity of food was excellent and very good value for money. Unfortunately do not live locally to enjoy more regularly and would love to try the dining experience, but would highly recommend to others."

"We just ordered from Congleton Tandoori whilst visiting friends in Congleton. Being from London we are spoilt with having some amazing Indian restaurants. This was one of the best curry we had. Every single dish was amazing. Fresh ingredients, pipping hot food. Can’t wait to order next time we are up in Congleton. 5 star."

"We went to the Black Swan for a surprise 40th birthday for my partner, also deciding to stay over in one of the beautiful garden rooms. Overall it was a wonderful culinary experience, and the room was fabulous. We opted for the basic wine pairing which complimented each dish perfectly. Each dish was full of flavour and cooked to perfection, a superb dining experience. The waiting staff were superb, exceptional attention to detail, and courteous and friendly throughout the evening. My one issue was the supplement they charged for one of the courses, this was an optional choice that we agreed to; however, charging £28 each for the lobster ravioli, given the cost of the tasting menu, seemed at tad inappropriate. We have eaten at other Michelin starred restaurants and I don't recall supplement charges being added to the tasting menus. I would suggest that Tommy Banks reviews this element of their menu. Regardless of this, we still had a fantastic time and this minor issue did not detract from the exceptional dining experience we had."

"I love this place. my second visit was a few days ago, again to lunch and was as good as the first one earlier in the year. the personal is attentive, the eating is excellent and the additional bonus this time was able to sit in the garden before and after the meal. I hope I will visit again soon."
