more beautiful place to go and eat a bit basic, but for just £3,99 for a Sunday carvery go wrong, the eating is nice and there is a good choice of hot vegetable...

"It's a good 30 minute drive for us but what a place. We keep coming back again and again. My husband requested to go for his birthday and I accidentally booked the afternoon tea option. Although he was disapointed not to have the salt and pepper chips (they are just divine we had a beautiful meal. We couldn't manage all the cakes (there was so much food but got to take them home and enjoy and they are definitely worth it. Only part of the afternoon tea for us is we like more savoury so would've been nice to have a few more sandwiches and less cake. I think we missed the cream on our scones too but by that point we were to full to say. The milkshakes are delicious and the children's portions are great. Cannot fault the service either they always have a smile on their faces and it's such a welcoming and relaxing place to go. Wish there were more vegan places closer to home :"

"Held our annual get together at The Rising Sun and requested a selection of sandwiches and platters of chips. The sandwiches were fresh and plentiful and the three times cooked chips were amazing. We will use them again."
