We have just enjoyed afternoon tea at Abbots Wells which was very nice. What stood out was the first class service by Lucy who took care of us. From meeting us at reception to showing us to the restaurant, her attention to detail and ‘putting the customer first’ was superb. Service was slow and several dishes were unavailable on the limited menu. The waiting staff showed a lack of knowledge and in one case a lack of personal hygiene.
