"This bar discriminates against certain races and ethnicities, please do not support this business. Several friends and I were in the neighborhood on a weekday watching football and wanted to grab a nightcap so we went to Boss bar. The bouncer let everyone inside including our visibly drunk buddy (who was white) except for our Indian friend. He had one beer at the prior bar and was completely sober but the bouncer said he was “over served”(the bar was dead and only half the bar was even open). Our buddy is an esteemed professional and highly regarded among most individuals he meets a real class act so witnessing him get singled out and turned away was baffling for the rest of us. Not surprisingly, a few others we’ve told this to have also experienced similar situations with their minority friends, indicating this is not a one off situation. Racism can only end if we contend with the institutional barriers that perpetuate the inequality. Please do not support a business and management/owner who instruct their staff to disallow certain demographics. You can condemn their actions by not giving them your business!"
