We were visiting from Kansas City and our last night in Chicago we had a hard time finding a restaurant that didn't have an hour wait. We came across this place and immediately fell in love. The food was spectacular, our waiter was fantastic (don't know his name unfortunately), and we got our food within a few minutes. Next time we come to the city we will definitely be coming here again. View all feedback.
What Fun Size doesn't like about The Pasta Bowl:
Very nice establishment with friendly staff. But the spaghetti and meatballs was a no for me, it’s just wasn’t giving spaghetti for me. The spaghetti had very little taste and the meatballs were a nice since but was very very blend with no taste as well even with the sauce over them. They also give you a bread on the side with the spaghetti and the crust was hard and the inside was soft almost like a soft dry texture... View all feedback.
The food was amazing. I need to start with that. My wife and I wanted to go some where low-key for an anniversary dinner on a Monday. We ordered 3 appetizers and we each ordered an entry. We had to take leftovers and the dessert to go as the portions are huge. The food was fresh, and the service was amazing. Keith was awesome and gave us a dessert for free to help celebrate our anniversary. We will definitely be back.
Meat sauce was yummy, I'd have it again! Sitting by the open front made it feel like outdoor eating. Seemed quieter than the Lincoln Park location.
Wow! Pasta was comparable to food we had experienced in Italy this summer! The fried Polenta was excellent so creamy and the marinara sauce a perfect match, the caprese salad was fresh with very flavourful tomatoes and mozzarella. We had two different pastas with Bolognese both cooked perfectly al Dente the sauce was amazing! Maria or server was fantastic and amazing prices! BYOB made it even more enjoyable!
Good food at a good price. Friendly service. For this area a benefit that they take reservations. Remember BYOB, but I believe wine and beer coming
I came with a group of 13 which they accommodated for but was told that they usually don 't allow large groups even though their website says this location is Great for larger groups and events. We were sat by the kitchen which smelled like mop water.I ordered Gnocchi Rosemary Gorgonzola which was way too salty and not flavorful at all. Expected to taste more of the rosemary than the salt. I understand the cheese is salty, but my dish tastes as if they added additional salt which it didn 't need. The saving grace was our waiter who just wanted to give the best service and he did.I would recommend fixing the website to let people know that you have a cap on group sizes instead of making people think that large groups are welcome. Also maybe raise the level on your dishes. I 've tasted some delicious pasta. This wasn 't it.
