Contribute FeedbackRoanoke has received mixed reviews, with some customers praising the delicious food and great service, while others express frustration over long wait times and poor management. The historic building offers a beautiful setting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Some diners were disappointed by slow service and overbooking issues that affected their dining experience. However, others had a positive experience, enjoying the food and drinks, especially during special events like Ladies Night. Overall, Roanoke seems to have potential as a dining spot in the Loop, with a mix of good and bad experiences from customers.
Roanoke is a great spot for dinner and drinks if you’re in the Loop! I had one of the best espresso martinis here and the food was on point. Would definitely return! Actually, I still remember how amazing the burrata was here and now I use it as my standard to judge other places. Worth a visit!
A more elegant brunch/lunch place with a more open kitchen so you can see the cooks work! I highly recommend this place for brunch, the drinks are incredible and beautiful! I got the Good Witch and it was SO tasty. There was a drink called Purple Rain that's SO pretty! I very rarely see purple drinks that beautiful and Felicia. The burrata was a delicious meal but we shared it as an appetizer. The condiments with it were amazing! The daily popover (which is close to a yorshire pudding texture) is delightful but huge! We didn't realize it's came with 2 and it doesn't state that on the menu so recommend sharing it with one or even two people! I got the avocado baked eggs and it was delicious but a bit odd to eat. It was a whole avocado, cut in half, with a poached egg in each half but I want expecting the skin to still be on the avocado so it was awkward to eat. Overall it was delicious but the lack of descriptions to include important notes for the meals is the only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5. I wish the menu made mention that there were skins on the avocados or that the waiter could have looked at my party of 6 and suggested we split 3 popovers out at least make mention how big they are (we ordered 5 of them on top of our meals, drinks, and other appetizers and so it became wasteful). I want to add, for accessibility reasons: The restrooms are an adventure, I had to go upstairs and down a hall to get to it. There are elevators for those that can't take stairs though! Just a bit of a journey to get there.
Great ambiance and good food. Brunch menu is a bit limited with not much options but I had the crab cakes which were pretty good and the mimosas were nice too. What impressed me most is a friend told them it was my birthday and they brought out some free dessert which was surprisingly nice. Would come again.
Great location. Great vibe. Love the decor. Food was fantastic. We had breakfast there. Only issue we had was with the service. Server didn't take our order correctlyafter confirming with him twice. He was also quite rude. Other than the service everything else was fantastic.
Celebrated our 20th Anniversary here. A delicious lunch before a Broadway show. Wonderful service. Delicious cocktails. Delia was an excellent Hostess. She made this special moment for us unforgettable.
