"Had simply a delicious experience from leesm’s garden. we had vegetarian and meat options. the duck was by far the best I've eaten for years. all eating was fresh and hot with many great aromas and not salted over. will be my new favorite."

"Came in mid week for a family birthday and to start with we were the only ones there. Both staff on duty very friendly and happy to help in any way. Food was brilliant and attention to food intolerance was spot on. More people came in later on and the atmosphere remained the same, peaceful, welcoming and a genuinely good local pub. We’ll be coming back again for sure."

"Stayed in the pub accomdation. Clean rooms in seperate converted building. Dog friendly room option, with access topub garden. Very friendly landlady with chef serving fantastic food, including our breakfast. Steak and mussels exceptional. If we lived local we would eat there regularly."

"Beautiful pub, one of my favourite in the area. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was absolutely delicious. The crispy squid tasted so fresh and the risotto was amazing. Three course meal for £45ish pp with drinks. We will definitely be back. "On arrival at around 1pm we were told there was a wait for 45min for food and that some choices were off the menu. Thought about going elsewhere and wished we had to be honest. It turned out that around 30-40% of the menu wasn 't available and so with limited choice i ordered something i wouldn 't normally and my wife had 'catch of the day '. The menu was priced a little high ie £18 for fish and chips. Really? Sometime after ordering i was informed that the dauphinoise potatoes from my choice were not available and that i would get roast potatoes! So i had limited choice to start with and then a make do meal. What?? My venison was just luke warm and my wife was quite disappointed with her fish dish. All in all a spur of the moment treat for us was an expensive and disappointing one. The staff didn 't ask how the meals were with opportunities to do so. I believe they knew the meals were not of value and were afraid to ask. A real shame."
