"Social bite is a sandwich shop with a difference. their profits go to the next love and 25% of their employees were previously homeless. the greener and coworkers take care of the company, to work hard, to help others, and they care about the quality of their food. "We stumbled upon The Pakora Bar one snowy Saturday afternoon before catching our train home and it did not disappoint. The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful with food recommendations. More importantly, the food was AMAZING, very well priced and the restaurant had a lively atmosphere. You can tell how passionate this family-run business is. Perfectly located for anyone near the train station. What a gem!"

"Maybe this place is as good as people say, but I wouldn't have any idea how to discriminate women with babies. When I came up with a baby, I was told that we cannot have one of several empty tables, because it is “policy to serve or rather its policy is that mothers should confine themselves to their own houses!? "Many claim to have ‘gourmet’ fast food Polentoni DOES! I am an Italian who has lived in Edinburgh for 20 years and Polentoni is possibly the only place where I have found authentic italian flavours. Franco is really knowledgeable and passionate about gastronomy and always keeps the offering interesting and varied by introducing regional specialities to his Scottish customers. More vegetarian options than in the past, SO GOOD!"

"Firstly this review is 100 genuine. I have been here lately with friends and found the restaurant to be very tastfully decorated to a high standard ....But....the prices are way too high. I found my sea bass dish too small for the high price. Until prices are realistic I wont be returning or recommending unfortunately."

"We enjoyed a nice afternoon tea and the food was lovely. unfortunately some acetate/plastic was left on one the items which had a chocolate wrap around. We didn't notice this until one of our party had it in there mouth, it could have been a chocking hazard but luckily she realised. When we told they staff they didn't apologise and ther response was it sometimes happens. We feel that they should have at least given a small apology."

"Outstanding. Deserving of every 5 start rating, an absolutely delicious place for a wrap, soup or salad. This saved my culinary day. The owner is a lovely resident of Edinburgh, Omar. The wrap was simple, humble and delicious. I really enjoyed the fusion of flavour with Sudanese and Mediterranean Flavor. The chili harrissa with preserved lemon was just outstanding. Wraps and Salads are always available as is the delicious Vegan Banana, Oak and Sultana cake. They have a more extensive menu that is available weekends. If you would like to try on a weekday, give the restaurant a call to see what they have available. Truly a gem in Bruntsfield.
