I was recommended to visit this unassuming sushi bar. From the outside it does not look like much and honestly, I tried another place first, but the queue was too long...and I am glad it was. The sushi is all made fresh and great selection. It is a bit more expensive that comparable places, but well worth it and not overly expensive. You can create your own mixes right there. What setsunaze doesn't like about Atariya:
Visited Atariya to satisfy our sushi/sashimi craving. Had the nigiri sets which were served in takeaway trays despite eating in. Definitely no ambience to speak of but at least there's no service charge. The nigiri sets were about £22 for a medium (9 nigiri and 6 small maki), and £24 for a large (11 nigiri but some of the sushi having better ingredients, ootoro instead of chutoro).
