my first hot pot and I loved him. the service was good, the place was full, so we had to remind the waiters to get us more food. other than that, eating was great. we had the half spicy and half clear broth, and it was delicious. the vegetables were fresh and delicate, and the meat was delicious. very happy and recommended! What Gordon103 doesn't like about Joy Luck Resturant:
Visited with family a few days ago. Not too busy unlike other places nearby. Food is okay perhaps typical of cheaper Chinese restaurants. Duck stir fries contained little meat but were okay. They add a 12.5% service charge. Main issue was £5.80 for each portion of very ordinary fried rice which is a rip off. Basic surroundings. Service was okay. I think there are much better places nearby. View all feedback.
We decided on the hotpot, half spicy and half bland. The offering was good but I wouldn't go overboard. The fish side broth was disappointing with lots of bones...
