"There is nothing negative to say about this restaurant. I came from out of town, was greeted with a warm ambiance and amazing smells in a family run setting. I was given thorough information about each dish I inquired about. The food itself was perfectly cooked and well seasoned and I was provided with generous portions of the wine, lamb meatballs, and spicy fig tagine I ordered. The restaurant owner was training a new chef in the kitchen. She was patient, thorough, and consistent which I am certain translates to quality and consistency of each prepared dish. The food heightened my overall experience of Schenectady and I encourage those who are able to try it to do so."

"First time there and we will definitely be back! The food was delicious, but it is definitely authentic Mexican food, not your usual Tex-Mex. The steak burrito was amazing and the chorizo tacos were also very good. The chips were hot and freshly made and the salsa had a bit of a kick to it. The guacamole was also extremely fresh. There was a bit of a language barrier but the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Despite Grocery being in the name they have a separate part for the business that is the bar and traditional eat in restaurant. Now go try La Mexicana!"
