"Maybe we caught Orchard on a bad night, but nothing about this place shined. The service was poor, food inconsistent and the atmosphere a bit tired. My wife and I sat down at around 7:30pm on a Saturday and were starving after a long day. We ordered a couple appetizers and requested bread because I was hoping for something right away. The bread and one of our two appetizers didn?t arrive until 8:30 (despite a plea at about 8:10). The waiter later told us that he accidentally gave our other appetizer to another table. Our young waiter was very earnest but clearly quite green. The ?chefs bread? was delicious and probably my favorite part of the meal. My mushroom pasta was tasty as well, but my wife underwhelmed by her seafood stew. The toast that came with her stew appeared to be freezer burned."

"We really enjoy their homemade dishes and were impressed for a small town their willingness to embrace veg and vegan foods. A bit more unusual than average in the area, but if you made the scratch, fresh and local source ingredients, it is totally worth it. They have recently updated their menu to be very clear on vegan options and what can be done to be vegan what is beautiful. Wish there were more vegan options for breakfast, although we had created a great meal with pages."

"Long review below. short version: this is the best decision for food that they will make anywhere in the region! just stop here and eat! we landed in seattle and drove into a car for a ride washington. mama vallone has emerged as a look good type of place to eat. absolutely everything was extraordinary! the service with friendly faces and love to detail, relaxing atmosphere, very clean environment and of course the high quality food! we started with the house appetizer, which I very suggest. it was a lovely social experience that could have been a meal. a table top burner, cast iron pan, house made butter, olive oil and garlic sauce (think them a lot of chopped garlic) with a fondue type, fresh cut vegetables that cook in front of them! delicious, fresh brot to taste all flavors is provided. the most important entrées were the Pacific Salmon, with steamed broccoli and the 24oz prime rib with a baked kartoffel. each entrée was offered with suppe or salat. the food was perfect! I wanted to try this dessert from the extensive offered, but I could not finish the huge part of the suculent prime rib! I swore everyone before I finally got out! the salmon was also legit! put a pencil on mama vallone’s and make them any excuse to stop here, eat and enjoy the local charm!"
