"Ristorante Giovanni 's AMAZING. Giovanni's Ristorante. A traditional Italian name. disappointing. Nothing jumps out of you first. The location of the restaurant is also in the lobby of a rather inconceivable office building. But oh how much of a difference is if you are behind the beautiful double wooden doors of Giovanni's Ristorante. To be honest; his wall of honor beside the main doors should have been an indication of the contract; with the four diamond awards and plaques hang proudly on the wall. But to make it easy when I went through these double doors, I was transported to a whole new world. A wonderful world of gastronomic joy and bliss. Now Giovanni 's not a regular culinary experience, the price range is above what I and my friends could normally afford; but it was a special occasion and I and my next friend had saved for this meal. And boy we weren't disappointed. I will begin with the service and the atmosphere. When we came in, I felt like I was transported to another world. The decor was one of sophistication and class. Woodwork must cost them a fortune; and the bottles of wine that dress up the dining room was a beautiful touch. Tables were far enough that you were at a convenient distance from all, but not enough to make you feel as if on an island on your own. The service was TREMENDOUS. Servers were very friendly and knowledgeable. Always there when you need them; but not intrusive. And well trained. Very well trained. Something you would expect from a fine restaurant like Giovanni. My experience in a beautiful restaurant is more and more pleasant when the service 't disappointed; and no disappointment here. But the more important question... what about the food? Oh, the food. It was FANTASTIC. Let's start: I don't usually think too much about bread. In fact, there are times when I ignore the bread completely. But the moment we have set ourselves; the runners came with a basket of the freshest smelling bread; as if JUST came out of the oven. They put them on our bread plates and I could not ignore the fact that the bread itself was a cross between a dinner roll and a croissant. So I ripped off a piece of the roll and was pleasant, not a cross, that was ridiculously surprised. The bread was excellent. Buttery and fluffy like a croissant, with a beautiful roll hybrid top and some herbs baked in the upper part. I had a few pieces of bread this evening. I started with the beef carppaccio, now I had my fair share of Carppaccio, but I never really enjoyed one to the extent that I felt awakened by the court. But I heard great webers about Giovanni 's, and I decided I would give it a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. Now I didn't get an epiphany moment as if I could eat these appetizers, but it was good. The mustard cream also had a good bang, but was 't exaggerated, which allowed me to still taste the subtle and aromas of beef. This is important because I was shut off by other companies in which their dressing completely overwhelms their beef Carpaccio, and does not allow to shine the beef. Here the beef is the main player; and the mustard dressing and capers are supporters. I really liked it, and was satisfied with my choice; but this court blasphemed in comparison to the rest of the meal (only because of the sheer perfection of the other dishes. A number of different salads were offered with the traditional stopper salad, and peas tomato salads, but I chose a spinach salad as I had with the crust goat cheese mentioned in the menu. I know, I know, quite strange way to choose a salad, but hey, everything looked good, and I had to make a decision, except I wanted a bit easier than a stopper, but not a huge fan of too many tomatoes. Boy I was glad I chose my salad and my so-called stupid reason. The fried goat cheese ball? It was AMAZING. The salad had fresh baby spinach; a good amount coated with a warm vinagrette; not overwhelming; but done very well. I wouldn't say it was all crazy. But then I cut into the fried goat cheese ball. It was excellent; strong intense taste and fried; but not oily. When I broke it up and mixed it with the rest of the salad, it really took a notch. The small crispyness the fried component gave him a special textural component, while the intense goat cheese taste really improves the Vinaiigrette dressing without making it too hard. For my pasta bowl I ordered the Penne Carbonara. My description? It was blissful. After my first bite, no, my second or third bite (because I couldn't stop at my first I felt like I was in heaven. It was absolutely delicious. First, the Pasta court was heated to table by our server. I mean, who does this on a day now, but I really appreciated this old hospitality and service. The pasta was boiled to perfection; delicately with a slight gum to its body. And the sauce, how good the sauce was. creamy, but not exaggerated; with saltiness and pancetta come through and coating each of the penne pasta. I felt though it was a very creamy dish; it used to be a very clean and not excessively heavy feeling that I sometimes come from Carbonaras I had eaten from another place. It was really a masterpiece. I would definitely recommend getting this court. The part was also not small, but I had no difficulty ending the court as it was just too good, not. When the dessert passed, I was pretty crowded. I guess it didn't help that I loved the bread so much that I had three portions of her bread throughout the service. It was really good bread!!! But although I started to feel full, I decided to order Dessert. The meal was so good that I didn't want to miss anything. to be in a traditional Italian restaurant; they offered the traditional desserts, gelatos, cakes, tiramisu; and in Hindsight; I really would have chosen to be a lighter option, but I really wanted to try their tiramisu. (You only live right once, and the next morning I had planned a LONG RUN anyway to say excessive carb load some? Tiramisu was good. It wasn't something I would write home about, but it was good. Light and not too heavy, but still tasteful enough it was just a good piece of Tiramisu. Overall, I had an amazing experience. The food was enormous. Really one of the best culinary experiences I had in Cleveland. together with the great service and the excellent atmosphere; it 'll definately stay one of my top selections for fine food and I highly recommend to him a shot when one of these special occasions come. Total: 4.75 out of 5 stars."

"My family got salad and two pizzas. The pizza was mediocre. Both had a hard crust and slightly burnt cheese. The salad we got had tons of cheese but a very small amount of the “Italian meats.” The oil in the dressing tasted of conola, or some type of neutral oil. I couldn’t finish the portion of salad. Unfortunately, this will not be worthy of another try."

"First this place has regular vegan dosdays. while they are an omni restaurant, they care about their vegan and vegetarian mules. get them a veggie combo and try them a little of everything. (a 4-piece combo leaves two people very full of my favorites are the split red lenses, the crowned green calf, and the green beans and carrots."

"My wife and I had dinner there last week. I had the veal piccata. the sauce was delicious and the plate was served beautiful and hot. my only criticism was that the calf was not very tender and had too much grin. the gin martini served with a twist of the lemon was excellent. my wife had the veal parmesn that was a huge part and served beautiful and hot. the only criticism was that the callbsal was more doughy than crisp, what my wife says could be a personal preference. our waitress was very attentive and personal."
