"Stayed here for couple of nights, visited Rutland Water which was a lovely day out. The Falcon is a really good hotel, the staff were all very professional but friendly. The food was very good, breakfast is waitress service which is far better than the dreaded breakfast buffet, and the breakfasts were lovely, plus breakfast is til 10.30 which is so much better if you're not an early riser. There is a very pleasant terrace at the back where we enjoyed a nice drink. Our room was a twin, with a fabulous ensuite. Everything was very clean and every detail was taken care of, water, tissues, toiletries. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the carpets felt soft and new. I would definitely stay at the Falcon again if I am in that part of the world and would highly recommend it."

"Food was fine when it arrived and a nice enough bottle of wine. Service was very slow, there only appeared to be two people in the kitchen but given that nearly all of the menu is either preprepared or pizza that shouldn’t be too much of a problem on a Tuesday lunchtime. Our main problem was the unrelenting noise due to the hard surfaces it was mostly the noise of the kitchen rather than the guests. It made talking at our table extremely taxing and quite an unpleasant experience. Food was fine but atmosphere poor."

"Coffee is always good but the Scandi has now gone with the change in menu which has lost its scandi touch and smacks of cost saving. This makes the experience no different to Nero’s or Costa. But at double the price it’s no longer worth it. An example being you are now being charged for a tuna and chilli cheese sandwich as you were for salmon We used to put up with the slow and erratic service. I would use for a takeaway coffee but no more"
