What Vilma Murazik doesn't like about Tangellos Cafe:
First the pros. We had a lovely seat in the sun and the waitress was polite and friendly. My husband thought his kofta wrap was okay.Now the cons. Some key items from the menu were not available - smoked salmon and spinach leaves to mention two. This made the choices too limited for me. "I had wanted to try eating here for ages, so to be this disappointed was quite sad. Being GF and diabetic with dairy intolerance it was almost impossible to find a meal here (I had truely thought it would be a breeze seeing their ‘healthy’ advertising). I had the nachos without cheese. Not a great experience but had no other food choices. They only use alternative milk brands that are loaded with sugar so I couldn’t order a hot drink. If anyone knows of proper nourishing cafes on the mid north coast that don’t use sugar laden alternative milks I would LOVE to know.."

"We recently had the most sensational lunch at Surf Club restaurant. We were celebrating my sisters birthday and elected to have the Chefs table. Highly recommended degustation style lunch. Every course was fantastic. Lots of seafood with the chowder being really sublime. Also lovely antipasto too. "Great venue with some nice beer (The Darkness dark ale is particularly nice). Also excellent Jazz music provided by Heather Rose on Saturday night. Would highly recommend people come here to experience the excellent music, food and drinks."

"If you are after a decent meal, please Nacktby and then at Depot Cafe in the Coffs Central Food Court. A rustic atmosphere next to the open library and overlooking the main street. You can even catch a melody or two on the public piano while enjoying an ice cream coffee or chocolate. Try one of the depot seeds with your choice of addition. Delicious breakfast and great coffee in good cups. The Depot Cafe is also very keen on the meal requests from their youngest diners."
