Cafe du Canton - Cognac

After an interesting walk around Cognac old town, we found this cafe. The plat du jour (bavette à l’échalote) at Euro 8.50 caught our eye and we stopped for lunch. This is a classic French bistro dish and the cafe managed it just right. Simple but delicious, served with a big portion of frites (chips) and lettuce. very warm welcome, very nice little troquet, atmosphere as at home! Various and varied omelettes that look delicious. We had a good time.Warning however not to put fries at home on the menu while they are frozen fries! View all feedback.
