Well what can i say, service is all over the place not one bit of organisation only had 1 person running around taking orders when the cafe was full and there was about 6 members of staff looking round in a daze one of them didnt speak a word of english and had no clue what was going on. Food was going to all the wrong tables ect... food is bog standard for a cafe so cant complain at that but defo need to get more tr... read more.

Busy spotless nice sea view while having breakfast staff lovely. Plenty of choice on the menu it also a shop and do take out

"The Ratty Arms pub is a converted railway station building situated right on the main line, a short walk over the bridge from the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway station. We spent the morning on the narrow gauge railway and then crossed over the main railway line to the pub. The friendly staff gave us a very warm welcome and served us with a good lunch which we could eat while watching the mainline trains coming and going through the station. There's a good selection of real ales on offer from local breweries. We were told that the pub is owned by the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway so your purchases here help to fund the railway!"
