"We stopped here for lunch on the way back from the bodmin wenford steam train; it felt a bit like a magic mysteries tour, but the sat nav led us to a beautiful pub in a stunning location. excellent food service. I had the whispers, my man had the fish goujons, my father the (enormous! pork chop, my daughter sink, egg chips and my son the steak chips. everyone was thrilled what I think could be a first! highly recommended."

"What a brilliant find. Driven past on many occasions previously, it answered our lunch call at 2pm on Easter Sunday. So many things to like. Great service from the moment we walked in, every member of staff was the same; warm, friendly, calm and...efficient. Interesting menu in an age when all menu’s seem to be very similar, it was great to find somewhere with genuine variety. High quality food every meal our party ordered was top notch. And the homemade cakes were something else innovative and tasty. Can’t wait to visit again (maybe for breakfast the menu looked great). 100% recommend."

"Whenever we stay in the area (usually at Trewornan Manor which is excellent) we book to eat here. The food is outstanding, the service excellent and the prices are a steal for this quality of fine dining. It is a real treat. You need to book as it is quite a small restaurant."
